Welcome to the GAI

The GAI has served the interests of its members since 1961. It is the United Kingdom's only trade body solely dedicated to promoting the interests of the whole architectural ironmongery industry, Architectural Ironmongers themselves, and the manufacturers and wholesalers of Architectural Ironmongery products.

It also reaches out to overseas clients through the accomplished, and sought after, education programme, and activities of the Institute of Architectural Ironmongers (IAI). Members are provided with a highly rated education programme, technical advice and support, publications and networking opportunities.

Invitations have now been posted to you and you will also have received a copy by email. Alternatively you can book HERE.

The GAI AGM & Conference 2014 will take place on Saturday 17 May at the stunning Belfry hotel in the West Midlands.
Another successful year for the GAI will be celebrated with the traditional black tie banquet on the Saturday evening so please put this date in your diary and don’t miss out on what we intend to be an enjoyable occasion for all. The popular Friday evening BBQ will be going ahead yet again and we hope to see you there.

BMF & MLA support launch of module

The GAI is pleased to announce that the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) and Master Locksmith’s Association (MLA) have supported the introduction of the Foundation in Hardware Module.
Launched in December last year the module is a new, online, one-stop introduction to door hardware aimed at those who don’t live and breathe architectural ironmongery as their day to day job.

Gary Amer, GAI Chief Executive says: “in developing this module we always knew that it would be perfect for builders merchants’ staff and locksmiths. We’re delighted that both the BMF and MLA are prepared to promote the module to their members. They’ll enjoy a discount for 3 months from March which represents great value for their members.”
