New Leadership for GAI Hong Kong Hub

The Guild’s Hong Kong Community Hub has a new leadership team, with James Wong, Managing Director of longstanding GAI Member company KeyTech, and Irene Yip, General Manager of ASSA ABLOY HK taking over.

As Hong Kong moves back towards more face-to-face meetings, James and Irene have big plans for the direction of the hub.

They kick off with a special ‘relaunch’ meeting on 25 August, 18:30 at ASSA ABLOY Hong Kong Ltd, to serve as both a reunion for previous members and a welcome for those interested in networking and working more closely with the Hub in the future.

James explained: “This will be the first face-to-face Guild meeting in Hong Kong for a number of years so we are excited to meet again, catching up with familiar faces and welcoming new interest.”

As well as marking the formal handover of the leadership roles, the meeting will be a chance to catch up on everything new in the GAI and Community Hub structures. There will also be an open forum session with an opportunity to shape the future direction of the Hong Kong programme, and a chance for volunteers to step into committee roles.

Irene added: “The Hong Kong hub has always been well supported by the architectural ironmongery and hardware sector locally, as well as by the specifiers and other industry professionals with whom we work.

"We welcome any architectural ironmongers and their employees, clients and customers, whether or not they are current GAI members. The hub is an inclusive space for all to get together and share best practice. Just get in touch to find out more – GAI Members can register online, and non-members should contact us to register their interest and find out more.”
