Building on the product knowledge gained in the CiAH qualification, the GAI Diploma in Scheduling focuses on the skills and knowledge required for specifying and scheduling – essential for architectural ironmongers working on projects being built to UK and European standards.

The GAI Diploma in Scheduling will give you the confidence and competence to discuss the ironmongery and access control requirements for any project, including the ability to write suitable architectural ironmongery and access control specifications, whether you’re talking to an architect, builder, joinery contractor, building manager or a homeowner.

The Stage 3 GAI Diploma in Scheduling course comprises the following modules: 

  • Electric Hardware 
  • Access Control 
  • Appreciating Architects Drawings 
  • Master Keying 
  • The Scheduling of Architectural Hardware 

 

On average learners will be expected to dedicate 80+ hours, with regular practical scheduling exercises.

The GAI Diploma in Scheduling course provides a blended learning experience involving opportunities for both online and physical event learning, including a recommended three-day training course to prepare for the final examination.

The written Stage 3 examination is sat at a venue organised by the GAI. In this you will be asked to prepare a full architectural hardware and access control schedule complete with a key control system for the project. Upon successful completion of this you will achieve the GAI Diploma in Scheduling:
