The Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI) has released the new RIBA-approved seminar for delivery exclusively by GAI members across the country. The CPD, entitled ‘Ironmongery for Specialist Applications’, will help architectural ironmongers to advise on the appropriate products for buildings used by a wide range of people with disabilities, including those with dementia or visual impairment.
It also gives further information on accessibility standards and legislation in the UK and Ireland, and how this is applied using specific types of hardware in buildings such as care homes, secure units, hospitals and schools.
As the training is RIBA-approved, architects will receive double learning points for attending a presentation of this CPD.
For further information on the CPD seminar, contact the GAI’s technical manager, Douglas Masterson on email@example.com.
