PWIDF Ltd are a Q-Mark accredited fire door manufacturer and GAI registered ironmongery company, specialising in the supply of fire door sets and ironmongery to the health, education, commercial, defence, office fit-out and residential markets. PWIDF are a fast growing company and we are looking for a dedicated architectural ironmongery to help the company reach its commercial targets.
With a new dedicated manufacturing facility of 16,000 sq ft, stock of over 4000 doors and an extensive range of ironmongery products, we are now looking to further expand our team by recruiting a new dedicated ironmongery scheduler. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating complex ironmongery schedules into projects in line with the specific requirements of our fire door certification, as well as bespoke stand-alone ironmongery projects.
Principle duties and Key Responsibilities
- To accurately and commercially pre qualify and prepare customer quotes and pricing schedules, ensuring company margins are protected and customer expectations met.
- Liaise directly with customers, explaining our quote in detail and assisting with any queries, by telephone, email, Teams, or site visits – wherever possible building trust and relationships.
- To ensure that any design changes or variations within a contract are captured. Making sure where door sets are being supplied test evidence is checked thoroughly.
- Liaise with General Manager / Senior Sales Manager on import project points. Represent the company at industry events. (Where feasible).
Essential qualities:
- Experience in understanding how to commercially analyse ironmongery schedules in conjunction with door schedules, general arrangement drawings, fire strategy drawings, lock suiting strategies and NBS P21 specifications.
- Preferably experienced using the Intec Door Scheduling software.
- GAI Diploma in Scheduling
- 3 years + ironmongery scheduling experience.
- Driving License.
- Competent on all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Desirable qualities:
- An appreciation of the criteria of L20 specifications and previous experience in supplying “Integrated Doors and Ironmongery” packages.
- Reg AI qualified
- Previous experience of scheduling ironmongery into door set systems.
The Offer :
- Full time position
- Working from home available with attendance in the office to be discussed.
- Salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum dependent upon experience
- 20 days paid holiday per annum (plus Bank Holidays) with an additional day for each year’s service completed up to a maximum of 25 days.
- Permanent position with standard SSP and pension.
