Hospitality Sector Business Development Manager - John Planck Ltd

John Planck Ltd are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team and spearhead the introduction of three designer brands into the construction industry, focusing primarily on the hospitality and washroom sectors.

With 50 years industry experience and the country’s largest team of fully qualified Registered Architectural Ironmongers, John Planck Ltd and our trading divisions John Monaghan and HAF, specialise in the supply of architectural ironmongery for both new and refurbished developments. Our expertise is primarily focused on the specification, scheduling, and supply of architectural ironmongery, designing solutions to fit any building project from modern, heritage, to bespoke.

To date we have been awarded 20 industry-specific specification awards, led by RIBA/GAI including this year’s Hatrick of Winners, in the Residential, Hospitality and “Winner of Winners” categories for our work on The OWO (Old War Office).

We are seeking experienced, motivated, customer focused individuals to join our sales team. Responsibilities 

  • Identify potential architects, interior designers and key stakeholders to generate, build and maintain sales growth.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate new markets.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create compelling sales materials and campaigns.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts, monitoring sales performance and adjusting strategies as needed to achieve targets.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote our brand portfolio.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to clients, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.

Requirements 

  • Proven experience in sales with a strong understanding of the construction industry, specifically the hospitality market.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing opportunities.
  • Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Proficiency with sales software, CRM systems, and other relevant tools is highly desirable. Candidates should be comfortable using technology to manage leads, track sales activities, and analyse performance metrics.
