Purpose of the role

You will be responsible for “managed accounts” shared by our Technical and Specification Team. You will have ownership of customer price files, sales orders, customer queries whilst improving our customer experience with Carlisle Brass. Working alongside and supporting all channels to assist in driving sales performance, generating, logging and management of ironmongery enquiries through specification led tools. 

Key responsibilities

  • Providing diligent account management of Carlisle Brass managed accounts, which includes, but is not limited to handling daily enquiries, orders and quotations.
  • Working as one of the team as the primary contact for our managed accounts. 
  • Under the guidance of the Technical and Specification Team Manager you will be providing quotations and customer price lists. 
  • Following up on inbound leads, making outbound calls and emails to support and increase customer sales. 
  • Upselling products and quantities at every opportunity. 
  • Providing a customer experience that ensures we are the first and last call. 
  • Embodying our company values in your role. 
  • Delivering exceptional service and achieving sales performance for Carlisle Brass. 
  • Developing and maintaining new relationships with architects, designers, developers and contractors. 
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with our existing customer base to create new sales opportunities.
  • Processing developer incentives, new offers, renewals and claims.
  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound calls and e-mails to drive sales performance for Carlisle Brass.
  • Achieving new profitable business development results by actively seeking new business opportunities.
  • Recording and creating reports across the managed accounts to assist with forecasting, liaising with the sales team and supply chain to ensure that demand patterns are planned for and understood.
  • Updating and maintaining the CRM system.
  • Working with the Technical & Specification team on project-based quotations. 
  • Assisting customer service and finance with root cause analysis on queries to speed up resolution.
  • Completing a weekly report which highlights customer activity, business wins, competitor activity and what this means for Carlisle Brass as a whole.

Skills, competencies and experience required

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • To be self-driven and able to work independently to manage their workload effectively and prioritize tasks accordingly. 
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A mind-set that always puts the customer first.
  • Ideally familiar with Smartsheet, Barbour ABI & Intec Systems.
  • Sound MS office skills.
  • An understanding of the fundamentals of commercial and contract pricing.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Project management skills.
  • Ideally 2 years industry experience in a similar role, preferably in a B2B environment, although this is not essential.
  • A proven track record of hitting targets and delivering sales and projects.
